Anne's first experience owning dogs was with Rottweilers that she titled in obedience, and an Australian Kelpie that she ran in agility and rally obedience.

Anne spent many years working for professional dog show handlers in both Canada and the U.S. Anne has been involved in Brittanys since 2003. Her first Brittany "Gem", also known as MBIS, MBISS, Can/Am. CH Mischiefloki Hiddencreek Gamin FDJ, was purchased as a junior’s dog for younger siblings but Anne borrowed him to play with in conformation - quite successfully! Gem won several all breed Best In Shows and specialties and was the #1 Brittany in Canada for several years. Gem won his first BIS one day and then spent the rest of the weekend in the field, finishing his field title.

Anne is a member and actively involved in the American Brittany Club and the Iowa Brittany Club, currently serving as show chairman.
